The Kent State University Chapter of PCMA was selected as one of four winners of the Student Chapter of the Year (SCOTY) award. With the $500 scholarship we receive from the PCMA Education Foundation, we hope to host a presentation by Joan Eisenstodt. Joan is a 30 + year veteran of the event planning and meetings industry.

Friends and Family Dinner, Kent, OH, November 7, 2008
We partnered with CMAA to plan and host a Friends and Family dinner to showcase the Hospitality Management major and raise money to support our student organizations. We also hosted a Silent Auction with donations from local businesses, recognized students for academic excellence, and acknowledged PCMA and CMAA officers for their service to the student groups. More than 200 guests that included students, family, alumni, and industry partners attended this event held for 2nd year in a row. For photos from the dinner, click here.

Ms. Shipman is the President of At Last Event Planning located in Chagrin Falls, OH. At Last Event Planning offers full service wedding planning, wedding day management, and social event planning services.
Resident Inn Columbus Downtown, Columbus, OH, October 9, 2008
