Following State of Ohio rules, each of these licenses qualifies an individual to work in a central office or supervisory capacity in a particular area of administration.
Two years of experience of successful teaching under a professional teaching license or two years of work experience in the appropriate work area and a qualifying score of 610 on the Praxis II specialty area test (1040) is required.
The master’s degree, with a core of course work in Educational Administration plus 12 additional hours in the specialty area are required for this license.

School Community Relations
those interested in school public relations, working with parents and community, and partnerships with public and private groups in the community

those with an interest in performing human resource functions in education, including personnel administration, benefits, working with not certificated personnel, and possibly collective bargaining
Educational Research
those with an interest in conducting research in educational settings; often with a focus on institutional research and working with statistics for state reports
Vocational Education Administration
those interested in vocational administration and supervision
Concurrent degree program
Students working toward these licenses are encourage to be admitted to a degree program concurrently, i.e., the student completing a license will also complete a master's or educational specialist degree in the process of gaining the license.
